Ukrainian holiday entitlement calculator (щорічна відпустка)
Стаття 75 of the КЗпП gives annual basic leave of not less than 24 calendar days for a worked working year, and 31 calendar days to anyone under eighteen. Because these are calendar days rather than working days, 24 of them spans about three and a half weeks — roughly 17 working days on a five-day week.

How щорічна відпустка in Ukraine is calculated
*"Щорічна основна відпустка надається працівникам тривалістю не менш як 24 календарних дні за відпрацюваний робочий рік."* Germany publishes 24 as well. The two numbers are not the same quantity: Germany’s are Werktage, working days on a six-day week, and Ukraine’s are **calendar** days — weekends included.
**So 24 calendar days is about three and a half weeks, or roughly 17 working days.** That makes Ukraine the lowest statutory entitlement in this whole comparison, while publishing a number identical to Germany’s and larger than the 20 working days Germany actually delivers. Nothing in the figure itself tells a reader this; only the unit does.
**Стаття 75 also sets one age rule.** *"Особам віком до вісімнадцяти років надається щорічна основна відпустка тривалістю 31 календарний день."* Thirty-one calendar days is a week more, and the band ends **at** eighteen rather than through it.
**The article states a minimum for a worked working year and no rule for a part year**, counted *"з дня укладення трудового договору"* — from the day the contract was signed. So this page does not invent a fraction, and it does not invent a rounding rule either. Стаття 76 provides additional leave for particular work and conditions, and Стаття 75 itself allows longer durations for some categories of worker, none of which is computed here.

Frequently asked questions
Скільки днів щорічної відпустки?
Не менш як 24 календарних дні за відпрацюваний робочий рік — стаття 75 КЗпП. Це календарні дні, а не робочі.
Is Ukraine’s 24 the same as Germany’s 24?
No. Germany’s 24 are Werktage — working days on a six-day week, so 20 on a five-day week. Ukraine’s 24 are calendar days including weekends, so about 17 working days. Same number, and Ukraine’s is the lower entitlement by three days.
Скільки відпустки у неповнолітніх?
31 календарний день для осіб віком до 18 років — та сама стаття 75.
Is the leave pro-rated for a part year?
Стаття 75 states a minimum for a worked working year and sets out no rule for a part year, so this page reports the statutory figure and does not invent a fraction.
