How 자동차세 in South Korea is calculated
South Korea's automobile tax is engine displacement in cc times a per-cc rate (80 won up to 1,000 cc, 140 to 1,600, 200 above), plus a 30% local-education surtax.
An age discount of 5% per year applies from the third year, capping at 50% from year twelve — the calculator now applies it, so enter the age of the car as well as its displacement. Estimate, not tax advice.
