How patente in Argentina is calculated
The patente is Argentina's annual car tax, charged by each jurisdiction as a percentage of the official vehicle valuation. CABA (via AGIP) and Buenos Aires province (via ARBA) set their own rates.
Older cars are exempt by age. Pick your jurisdiction from the dropdown to load its rate. For 2026 CABA kept its 1.5%-4% scale but switched to ACARA market valuations instead of the older DNRPA table, and exempts electric vehicles entirely; Buenos Aires province cut its scale from 15 brackets to 5, running 1% to 4.5%.
