How čistá mzda in Slovakia is calculated

Slovak payroll deducts 13.4% in employee levies (4% health and 9.4% social) from gross. Income tax is then 19% on the base after the non-taxable personal allowance. From 1 January 2026 the consolidation package lowered the 25% threshold and added two new bands, 30% and 35%.
