How Чиста заплата (net salary) in Bulgaria is calculated
Bulgaria pairs a modest social system with the EU's lowest flat tax. Employee insurance is 13.78% of gross, capped at a monthly ceiling, covering pension, health, unemployment and sickness. Bulgaria adopted the euro on 1 January 2026, so all figures here are in euro.
Income tax is a flat 10% on the amount after insurance, so take-home is easy to compute. Child relief is applied as an annual refund. Estimate, not tax advice.
