How net pay in Philippines is calculated
Philippine payroll deducts three contributions — SSS (5%), PhilHealth (2.5%) and Pag-IBIG (2%, capped) — from gross. The remainder, annualised, is taxed under the TRAIN law.
TRAIN exempts the first 250,000 PHP a year, then charges 15% to 35% across the bands, so lower earners pay no income tax. The calculator combines the contributions and withholding. Estimate, not tax advice.
