How salariu net in Romania is calculated
Romanian payroll is employee-heavy: CAS pension contribution is 25% and CASS health contribution is 10%, both borne by the employee, off gross.
Income tax is then a flat 10% on gross minus those contributions and the personal deduction. The deduction is degressive, largest at the minimum wage and zero above a modest income. Estimate, not tax advice.
