How lønn etter skatt in Norway is calculated
Norwegian payroll takes 7.6% national insurance (trygdeavgift) off gross. Ordinary income tax is a flat 22% on gross minus the minimum deduction and personal allowance.
On top, a progressive bracket tax (trinnskatt) applies to gross from 1.7% up to 17.8% across five steps. The calculator combines all three. Estimate, not tax advice.
