How Cuti tahunan (annual leave) in Indonesia is calculated
Article 79(3) of the **Manpower Law** (UU 13/2003), as amended by UU 6/2023: *“cuti tahunan, paling sedikit 12 (dua belas) hari kerja setelah Pekerja/Buruh yang bersangkutan bekerja selama 12 (dua belas) bulan secara terus menerus.”* — at least **12 working days** after **12 months** of continuous work.
**A minimum, not a scale.** The statute has no service bands: twelve days after one year is still twelve after twenty. How the leave is taken is set in the employment contract, company regulation or collective agreement (article 79(4)), which may give more, and leave is paid at full wages (article 84).
**Long-service leave** (istirahat panjang, article 79(5)) depends on the employment contract, company regulation or collective agreement, and the page does not show it. Before 12 months of work there is no statutory annual leave at all.
