How feriado anual in Chile is calculated
Article 67: *"Los trabajadores con más de un año de servicio tendrán derecho a un feriado anual de quince días hábiles, con remuneración íntegra."* In the **Magallanes and Aysén regions and the Province of Palena** it is **twenty**.
**Saturday is always a non-working day for leave (art. 69).** Fifteen días hábiles is therefore three full Monday-to-Friday weeks, even for someone who normally works Saturdays.
**Feriado progresivo (art. 68).** Once a worker has **ten years of work**, for one or more employers, one extra day accrues for **every three new years** — 16 days at thirteen years, 19 at twenty-two. Only ten years with previous employers can be counted. A worker who leaves before a year receives proportional leave pay instead (art. 73).

How does feriado progresivo work?
After ten years of work, for one or more employers, one extra day for every three new years worked; at most ten years with previous employers count.

Annual leave arises after more than a year of service. Someone who leaves earlier is paid proportional leave (feriado proporcional) instead of taking days.
