How permiso de circulación in Chile is calculated
Chile's recurring car charge is the permiso de circulacion, a municipal permit paid each March. It is a progressive percentage of the vehicle's fiscal appraisal (tasacion) published by the SII.
The rate rises with the appraised value. The calculator uses illustrative value-band rates. Estimate, not tax advice.
