# Take Home Pay Calculator USA — federal

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/usa/net-salary

Your US take-home is gross minus the standard deduction, federal income tax and FICA; state income tax is a separate add-on.

**Tax year:** 2026

## How it is calculated

US federal tax starts from gross minus the standard deduction, then applies the single-filer brackets from 10% to 37%. FICA adds Social Security (6.2% up to the wage base) and Medicare (1.45%, plus 0.9% above 200,000).

State income tax is separate and ranges from 0% (Texas, Florida, Washington) to over 13% (California), so the calculator shows the federal net before state tax. Estimate, not tax advice.

## Worked example

With Gross annual salary of 75,000 USD, this model computes Net / month of 5,132.71 USD.
