# Räkna ut lön efter skatt — Sweden net salary

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/sweden/net-salary

Your Swedish net salary is gross minus municipal tax (after the basic allowance and job tax credit) and state tax above the threshold.

**Tax year:** 2026

## How it is calculated

Swedish income is taxed mainly by the municipality (around 32% on average) on income after the basic allowance (grundavdrag), reduced by the job tax credit (jobbskatteavdrag).

A 20% state tax applies on income above the breakpoint (660,400 SEK a year in 2026). The public pension fee is offset by a credit. Pick your kommun from the dropdown — in 2026 municipal tax runs from 28.93% in Österåker to 35.65% in Dorotea, averaging 32.38%. Estimate, not tax advice.

## Worked example
