# 연차 계산기 2026 — South Korea annual leave (15–25 days)

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/south-korea/holiday-entitlement

Under article 60 of the Labor Standards Act a worker who attended at least 80% of the year gets 15 days of paid annual leave. Before completing a year, or below 80% attendance, it is one day per month of perfect attendance. From three years of service one day is added for every two years beyond the first, up to 25 days.

**Tax year:** 2026

## How it is calculated

Article 60 ①: *"사용자는 1년간 80퍼센트 이상 출근한 근로자에게 15일의 유급휴가를 주어야 한다."* — **15 days** after a year in which the worker attended at least 80% of working days. Work-injury leave, maternity leave and parental leave count as attendance.

**The first year runs on a different rule.** A worker with under a year of service — or under 80% attendance — earns **one day for each month of perfect attendance** instead (②). Seven perfect months in the first year is seven days.

**Seniority adds slowly.** From three years of continuous service, ④ adds one day for every two years beyond the first: 16 days at three and four years, 17 at five, and so on until the **25-day cap**, reached at 21 years. Unused leave lapses after a year unless the employer prevented its use. Applies to workplaces of five or more employees.
