# Ежегодный отпуск 2026 — Russia annual leave (28 calendar days)

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/russia/holiday-entitlement

Under article 115 of the Labour Code, annual basic paid leave in Russia is 28 calendar days, and at least 30 for working people with disabilities. Because weekends inside the leave count, 28 calendar days is 20 working days on a five-day week.

**Tax year:** 2026

## How it is calculated

Article 115: *"Ежегодный основной оплачиваемый отпуск предоставляется работникам продолжительностью 28 календарных дней."* The unit is **calendar** days, so Saturdays and Sundays inside the leave count toward it: 28 calendar days is **20 working days** on a five-day week and 24 on a six-day one.

**Since 2024, working people with disabilities get at least 30 calendar days** — a part added to article 115 by Federal Law 268-ФЗ of 8 August 2024. Non-working public holidays that fall inside the leave are not counted and extend it (art. 120).

Many groups get more by statute — longer basic leave for minors and teachers, additional leave for harmful conditions, irregular hours and the Far North (art. 116) — none of which is modelled here. The right to leave in the first year arises after six months with the employer (art. 122).
