## How it is calculated

The transport tax is Russia's annual vehicle tax, set by each region. The rate rises with engine power in horsepower; the Moscow table runs from 12 RUB/hp for small engines to 150 RUB/hp above 250 hp.

Cars on the official expensive-models list worth over 10 million RUB pay a x3 luxury multiplier. Regional rates vary by up to ten times, so the region selector matters. Estimate, not tax advice.
