# Kasmetinės atostogos 2026 — Lithuania annual leave (20 / 24 days)

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/lithuania/holiday-entitlement

Under article 126 of the Lithuanian Labour Code employees get at least 20 working days of annual leave on a five-day week, or 24 on a six-day week. Workers under 18, single parents of a child under 14 or a disabled child under 18, and workers with disabilities get 25 (30).

**Tax year:** 2026

## How it is calculated

Article 126(2): employees get *"ne mažiau kaip dvidešimt darbo dienų (jeigu dirbama penkias darbo dienas per savaitę) arba ne mažiau kaip dvidešimt keturių darbo dienų (jeigu dirbama šešias darbo dienas per savaitę)"* — **20 or 24 working days**, which is four weeks either way. For any other weekly pattern the minimum is stated directly as four weeks.

**Five weeks for the protected group.** Workers under 18, single parents raising a child under 14 or a disabled child under 18, and workers with disabilities get **25 (30) working days** (art. 126(3)). Public holidays inside the leave are not counted (art. 126(4)).

Extended leave for especially demanding work and extra days for long uninterrupted service with the same employer are set by Government resolution (art. 138) rather than by the Code, so this page does not model them.

## Worked example

With Under 18, single parent of a child under 14 (or a disabled child under 18), or a worker with a disability of 0, this model computes Days Entitled of 20.

## What this page claims

The Valem engine reproduces this model's formula through 5 self-test cases. That shows internal consistency, not that the formula matches current law; the cited sources are the evidence for that. Estimate, not tax advice.
