# Nettó bér kalkulátor — Hungary net salary

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/hungary/net-salary

Your Hungarian net salary is gross minus a flat 15% income tax and an 18.5% social contribution — net equals about 66.5% of gross.

**Tax year:** 2026

## How it is calculated

Hungary runs one of Europe's simplest payroll systems: a flat 15% personal income tax (SZJA) and a flat 18.5% social contribution (TB), both on gross, so net is a clean 66.5% of gross for a standard case.

Under-25s are exempt from income tax up to the average-wage cap, and various family and mother exemptions further reduce or remove the tax. The under-25 toggle applies the youth exemption. Estimate, not tax advice.

## Worked example

With Bruttó bér / hó of 600,000 HUF, this model computes Nettó / hó of 399,000 HUF.
