# Υπολογισμός άδειας 2026 — Greece annual leave (20–26 days)

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/greece/holiday-entitlement

Greek annual leave is 20 working days on a five-day week (24 on a six-day week) for a year of employment, proportional in the first year. It rises by a day a year to 22 (26), reaches 25 (30) after 10 years with the same employer or 12 with any, and 26 (31) after 25 years.

**Tax year:** 2026

## How it is calculated

The Ministry of Labour states the base: annual leave is calculated *"βάσει ετήσιας αδείας 20 εργασίμων ημερών επί πενθημέρου εβδομαδιαίας εργασίας και 24 εργασίμων ημερών επί εξαημέρου"* for 12 months of continuous employment. In the **first year** it is proportional — six months on a five-day week is 10 days.

It then **rises by one working day for each year beyond the first**, to 22 on a five-day week (26 on six). The big step comes with seniority: **25 days after 10 years with the same employer or 12 years with any employer** (30 on six days), and **26 after 25 years** (31).

Note the "any employer" route: someone with twelve years of working life who has just moved job keeps 25 days. The 25- and 26-day levels come from the national general collective agreement, which the Ministry cites. The leave allowance (επίδομα αδείας) is pay, not days, and is not computed here.
