# შვებულება 2026 — Georgia annual leave (24 working days)

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/georgia/holiday-entitlement

Under article 31 of the Labour Code of Georgia an employee is entitled to at least 24 working days of paid leave a year, plus an additional 10 calendar days for work under arduous, harmful or hazardous conditions. Leave can be requested after 11 months of work.

**Tax year:** 2026

## How it is calculated

Article 31(1): *"An employee shall have the right to enjoy paid leave of at least 24 working days annually."* That is a floor — an employment agreement or collective agreement can give more — and the Code adds a separate right to at least **15 working days of unpaid leave** a year (art. 31(2)).

**Hazardous work adds leave in a different unit.** Work under arduous, harmful or hazardous conditions brings an extra **10 calendar days** a year (art. 31(3)(a)). Calendar days include weekends, so the page shows them separately rather than adding them to the 24 working days.

Leave can be requested after **11 months** of work, or earlier by agreement; from the second year it can be granted at any time, and in parts, by agreement (art. 32). The Code states an annual minimum with no proportional rule for a part year, so none is applied here.
