# განბაჟების კალკულატორი — Georgia car import excise

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/georgia/car-tax

Georgia charges no annual car tax; the cost is a one-time import excise that scales with engine size and a U-shaped age factor.

**Tax year:** 2025

> **Not yet updated for the current tax year.** This page shows the shape of the import excise with illustrative rates; the official 2026 rates have not been checked. Confirm the amount with the Georgian Revenue Service.

## How it is calculated

Georgia is a major used-car re-export hub, so the dominant vehicle query is the import excise, not an annual tax. The charge scales with engine displacement and an age factor that is U-shaped — cheapest for cars two to five years old.

Hybrids pay about half and fully electric cars are exempt; customs service fees are added on top. Rates here are illustrative of the structure. Estimate, not tax advice.

## Worked example

With Engine size of 2,000, this model computes Import excise of 4,500 GEL.

## Inputs

| Name | Label | Type |

## What this page claims

The Valem engine reproduces this model's formula through 2 self-test cases. That shows internal consistency, not that the formula matches current law; the cited sources are the evidence for that. Estimate, not tax advice.
