# Calcul salaire net — France take-home pay

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/france/net-salary

Your French net salary is your gross minus social contributions (CSG/CRDS and pension), and then income tax on the household family-quotient scale.

**Tax year:** 2026

## How it is calculated

French payslips show two nets: net before tax (net avant impot) and net after tax. Social contributions come off gross first — CSG and CRDS on 98.25% of pay, plus old-age and complementary pension contributions — leaving the net before tax, roughly 78-79% of gross for a non-executive employee.

Income tax (prelevement a la source) is then computed on the family-quotient scale: taxable income is divided by the number of parts (1 for a single person, more for a couple or children), taxed on the 0/11/30/41/45% brackets, and multiplied back. A 10% abatement for professional costs applies first. Estimate, not tax advice.
