# Palgakalkulaator 2026 — Estonia net salary

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/estonia/net-salary

Your Estonian net salary is your gross minus 1.6% unemployment insurance, 2% funded pension and 22% income tax over a flat €700 monthly exemption.

**Tax year:** 2026

## How it is calculated

Estonia keeps its payroll refreshingly simple. From 2026 the basic exemption is a flat 700 EUR per month for everyone, removing the income-based tapering that made earlier years fiddly.

Two contributions come off gross first: 1.6% unemployment insurance and 2% funded pension (II pillar). Income tax is then a flat 22% on what remains after those contributions and the 700 EUR exemption.

Because every rate is flat, the model is easy to trust and easy to check against the official EMTA calculator. The rates live in the model's constants, so the January refresh is a one-line edit. Estimate, not tax advice.

## Worked example

With Gross monthly salary of 2,000 EUR, this model computes Net / year 19,894.08 EUR.
