# Take Home Pay Calculator Canada

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/canada/net-salary

Your Canadian take-home is gross minus federal tax (less the basic personal amount), provincial tax, and CPP and EI.

**Tax year:** 2026

## How it is calculated

Canadian payroll charges federal tax on brackets from 14.5% to 33%, reduced by the basic personal amount, plus a provincial tax that differs by province (Ontario, Quebec, BC, Alberta).

CPP is 5.95% between the floor and ceiling, with an extra CPP2 above, and EI is 1.64% up to its ceiling. Pick your province from the dropdown; because this simplified model applies one flat provincial rate to a schedule that is really progressive, the options are representative rather than exact. Estimate, not tax advice.

## Worked example

With Gross annual salary of 70,000 CAD, this model computes Net / month of 4,230.16 CAD.

## Inputs

## What this page claims
