# Cálculo De Férias 2026 — 30, 24, 18 Ou 12 Dias Corridos

Source page: https://valem.run/calculators/brazil/holiday-entitlement

Article 130 of the CLT grants férias after each twelve months of contract, in one of four proportions chosen by unjustified absences: 30 dias corridos for up to five absences, 24 for six to fourteen, 18 for fifteen to twenty-three, and 12 for twenty-four to thirty-two. They are consecutive calendar days, so 30 of them is about 21,4 working days on a five-day week.

**Tax year:** 2026

## How it is calculated

*"Após cada período de 12 (doze) meses de vigência do contrato de trabalho, o empregado terá direito a férias, na seguinte proporção: I - 30 (trinta) dias corridos, quando não houver faltado ao serviço mais de 5 (cinco) vezes."* Brazil is the only country in this comparison whose statutory entitlement **falls**.

**The absence count is not a penalty beside the figure — it is the band table.** Up to five absences: 30 dias corridos. Six to fourteen: **24**. Fifteen to twenty-three: **18**. Twenty-four to thirty-two: **12**. So the sixth unjustified absence costs six days of leave in a single step, and the seventh costs nothing. That cliff is invisible in a published “30 days” and impossible to reconstruct from a pro-rata model.

**And the absences cannot be charged twice.** Article 130 § 1º: *"É vedado descontar, do período de férias, as faltas do empregado ao serviço."* The band is the whole of the consequence; the employer may not also dock those days from the leave itself. § 2º counts the leave period as service time.

**Dias corridos, so the same number as Spain for a different reason.** Thirty consecutive calendar days, weekends inside, is about **21,4** working days on a five-day week — exactly what Spain’s 30 *días naturales* produces under a completely different rule. Band IV’s twelve corridos is about **8,6** working days, the lowest figure in this whole comparison.

**One article this page deliberately does not use.** Article 130-A once set smaller bands for part-time contracts, and it is marked *"(Revogado pela Lei nº 13.467, de 2017)"* — part-time work now falls under article 130’s ordinary bands. Planalto prints the repealed text in place, directly after the live one, so a reader who took the first plausible table would publish rules that stopped applying nine years ago.

## What this page claims

The Valem engine reproduces this model's formula through 12 self-test cases. That shows internal consistency, not that the formula matches current law; the cited sources are the evidence for that. Estimate, not tax advice.
